Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 April 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account on Solvly (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. Solvly is operated by Solvly Inc.
2. Age restrictions and parental consent
Solvly is designed for children aged 6 to 14. Children may not create their own accounts. All accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years of age.
By creating a child profile on Solvly, you confirm that:
- You are the parent or legal guardian of the child
- You consent to Solvly collecting and processing the limited data described in our Privacy Policy
- You understand that you can review, export, or delete all child data at any time
- The child is between 6 and 14 years of age
For children under 13 in the United States, parental consent is required under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). For children under 18 in India and the UAE, parental consent is required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the UAE Child Digital Safety Law respectively.
Solvly does not knowingly allow children under 13 to provide any personal information without prior verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information without parental consent, we will delete that information immediately.
3. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by children using child profiles you have created.
Each child profile is secured by a 4-digit PIN chosen by the parent. Parents may change or reset this PIN at any time through the parent dashboard.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Create accounts for children who are not your own or for whom you do not have legal guardianship
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose other than as a subscribing parent or school
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any part of the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Circumvent any security measures or access controls
5. Subscriptions and payment
Solvly offers a free tier (limited to 3 missions) and paid subscription plans (Explorer and Family). Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. All prices are displayed in your local currency.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal, accessible from your Settings page. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
Solvly reserves the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Price changes do not affect the current billing period.
5a. Refunds
7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you are subscribing to a paid Solvly plan for the first time and have completed fewer than three (3) paid missions across all of your children, you may request a full refund within seven (7) days of your initial subscription payment by emailing hello@getsolvly.com or using the “Request a refund” link in your account settings.
The 7-day money-back guarantee does not apply to:
- Subscriptions where any child has completed three (3) or more paid missions (i.e. missions beyond the free tier).
- Renewal payments after the first billing period.
- Subscriptions purchased more than seven (7) days before the refund request.
Outside the 7-day window, refund requests are reviewed case-by-case at Solvly's discretion. Solvly may decline refund requests where significant paid product has been used.
Cancellation vs refunds. Cancelling your subscription stops future charges but does not entitle you to a refund of the current billing period. You retain access through the end of the period you have already paid for. There are no automatic refunds for unused portions of a billing period.
Performed digital services (EU/UK/EEA). By starting any paid mission, you expressly request that Solvly begin performing the digital service immediately, and you acknowledge that completing three (3) or more paid missions constitutes substantial performance of that service, which waives the statutory cooling-off period for digital content under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and EU Directive 2011/83/EU.
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Solvly does not refund payment-processor fees.
6. Content and intellectual property
All mission content, character designs, Sage questions, and visual assets are owned by Solvly Inc. and are protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Solvly content without written permission.
Child-generated data (choices, skill progress) belongs to the parent and child. Parents may export this data at any time.
7. AI disclosure
Solvly uses artificial intelligence in the following ways:
- Sage: The in-app mentor is an AI system, not a human. Sage's questions are generated by AI. Sage does not have memory between sessions and cannot initiate contact with your child outside of the MissionWorld platform.
- Parent insights: The weekly insights report in the parent dashboard is generated by AI based on your child's mission activity data.
- Mission generation: Future versions of Solvly may use AI to generate personalised missions. Any such feature will be clearly disclosed.
8. Data and privacy
Your use of Solvly is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Account termination
You may delete your account at any time through Settings or by emailing privacy@getsolvly.com. Upon deletion, all data associated with your account and your children's profiles will be permanently removed within 30 days.
Solvly reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Solvly is an educational tool. It is not a substitute for professional counselling, therapy, or clinical assessment. If you have concerns about your child's emotional wellbeing or development, please consult a qualified professional.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Solvly does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solvly's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to Solvly in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
